Getting to know Gail Elder-Battle
Mental health treatment should be more than a prescription and a “brief conversation”. I work with adults who want thoughtful psychiatric care that considers the full picture, your symptoms, health, lifestyle, sleep, stress, and what matters to you. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for anxiety, depression, OCD, mood concerns, and other mental health challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that fits your needs. Depending on your goals, care may include medication management along with integrative strategies such as nutrition, mindfulness, sleep support, and lifestyle changes to support overall wellbeing. Treatment is collaborative, you’ll understand your options and have a voice in the decisions we make.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions about your care. I provide inclusive, culturally responsive and affirming psychiatric care for adults ages 20–64. In-person appointments are available in Michigan, with online psychiatric care available throughout Michigan, Illinois, and Florida.
