About Gargi Parikh

As a registered dietitian, herbalist, and yoga teacher, my goal is to help you master your diabetes and/or digestive health using real food, herbs, and a mind-body approach to healing. I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands control and reverse diabetes and heal gut issues so they can live fulfilling lives. I am committed to making the journey simple, sustainable, and fun! I provide real-life tools, resources, and coaching support to help you thrive. I earned my Bachelor’s in Nutrition Science from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, completed my Master’s in Public Health at Emory University, and finished my Dietetics Internship at the University of Northern Colorado. These experiences have shaped my holistic approach to health and wellness. When I’m not working, you can find me playing with my two young boys, trying a new recipe, spending time with family and friends, hiking, or on my yoga mat. My interest in diabetes stems from watching family members and my community struggle with diabetes management. When my grandfather passed suddenly from a diabetes-related stroke, I knew I wanted to provide culturally appropriate, simple, and sustainable tools so others could avoid a similar fate. I love the work I do, and there is nothing more exciting than empowering someone to master their diabetes and lead full, healthy lives! Like many of you, my weight struggles impacted many areas of my life and health. In my teens, I ate a typical SAD (Standard American Diet), which led to slow weight gain, fatigue, brain fog, and poor digestion. It wasn’t until I discovered nutrition and re-imagined my relationship with food and my body that things shifted. I got curious about nutrition and learned how to nourish my body. Under mentors’ guidance, I made small, sustainable lifestyle changes that, over five years, resulted in my body naturally shedding weight and my health improving dramatically.
