What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
There is no greater inspiration for a doctor than being trusted and no greater reward than helping someone live a longer, happier, and healthier life. After 30 years of practicing medicine, it (not me) still doesn’t get old.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
I'm just the mechanic you see every once in a while for a fix or tune-up. I want to make sure that you know the limits of your car (or motorcycle) and how to take care of it. Once you're on the road, I'll leave the driving up to you.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love being with and thinking about my children. I enjoy studying the science and medicine of physical and mental performance enhancement. I am passionate about the environment and what will be left for my children.
