About Dr. Gary Yen
Dr. Gary Yen is a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic in the state of New York and New Jersey. Dr. Yen received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick. Thereafter he attended the New York Chiropractic College where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in year 2000. In addition, Dr. Yen completed his post graduate fellowship in Manipulation Under Anesthesia at the Devonshire Surgical center in Midtown Manhattan. Dr. Yen has over 17 years of experience specializing in non-invasive treatments of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the neck, back, and extremities from motor vehicle trauma, repetitive strain and sports injuries. In 2002, Dr. Yen started a single doctor three treatment room practice and by 2006 he expanded his practice to a multi-specialty Integrative Medicine practice with two locations in Midtown Manhattan. In 2014 Dr. Yen started a 4000 square feet boutique fitness facility to integrate physical medicine with personalized spinal stabilization IM=X Pilates program.

I was recommended to Dr. Yen by my pain mgmt doctor. Dr. Yen is very attentive and pleasant. It was physical therapy, massage, heat with tens unit, the table and then the adjustment. I actually walked out feeling better and I’m genuinely excited to be treated by him and the rest of his medical staff. The morning hours are a little later than I like but they have afternoon hours so it’s flexible.
There was a fair amount of paperwork to complete but it’s a doctor’s office so it comes with the territory.

Friendly staff, Dr Yen was helpful and hopefully he will be able to fix my back issue in the next visit or two. Minimal wait time. One minor issue, I filled out all my insurance and personal info on Zocdoc, but the office didn’t have any of it so had to refill in forms. Supposedly an issue on Zocdoc’s side. Highly recommend Dr Yen and his staff. Very attentive and communicated clearly.

Today, I had a wonderful first session! Received the "total treatment" for shoulder and bak pain from a recent bicycle accident.

It was my first time going to a chiropractor. I have lower back pain and left rib pain from gaming and sitting to long. I was referred by a coworker.
The front desk had me fill out a form. As soon as I finished filling out the form, I saw the doctor in 5 minutes.
I notice they are very thorough with their appointment. The doctor asked me a few questions to best describe the pain and when it happened. He examined the pain by pressing on the area of my pain and then other side of my body. I had an x-ray taken, he explained what procedure he will do and then started. Afterwards he explained why I have the issue in detail. Then, he recommended that I come back to hear about my x-ray result and what he recommends that I should do fix the issue.

Have been seeing Gary for two years and will continue to do so. I used to be very active but am finishing graduate school which forces me to hunch over a laptop most of the day. Visits to Gary's office have been a lifesaver for a stiff back or crick in my neck
New patients should know that permanent posture fixes comes from both lifestyle changes and chiropractic adjustments. Gary has also been a great resource on anatomy questions and exercises to complement office visits. When i've had the time to do his recommended programs I always see results.
For busy professionals I recommend booking during lunchtime for a quick in and out visit.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Yen and the team at Manhattan Spine Rehab. After 2 years of back pain and multiple chiropractors who could not resolve the issue, I am almost totally pain-free after a few months of seeing Dr Yen.
The combo of massage, acupuncture, PT and adjustments at each appointment is a very thorough, 360-degree approach. As a busy New Yorker, it is amazing to get comprehensive, individualized treatment and be out the door an hour later. Each provider is excellent at what they do and very thoughtful.
Scheduling appointments is super easy and I have never had to wait – half the time they take me 5 minutes early!

Dr Gary Yen and his team are the BEST. When I first went to Dr Yen, I could barely sit or lay down. I had been getting trigger point shots weekly because I was in so much pain.
He understood exactly what I was going through and quickly got me on a plan that was incredibly effective. If it had not been for him, I would still be medicating the pain. My life is back on track! I am able to exercise regularly and sit more comfortably at my desk job.
I know that if I do feel pain he will make time for me and do everything in his power to help me.
He is a must see!

Love this office! I was a prior patient to Dr. O'Donohue and was excited for this new location. The office is great small but not crowded and you can get a great set of services. Not only do you get a good massage before and adjustment but it's the most wonderful adjustment and they even office acupuncture! Great practice, great service!

The first visit does not include an X-ray examination while most Chiro clinic should have. I have to pay extra money to do the X-ray which does not make sense.
And each visit is very rush, I feel they just care about making money instead of solve my back issue.

I have now been to Dr. Yen several times.
I switched to Dr. Yen after seeing another chiropractor who seemed uninterested in helping me get better (no recommendations on how to get better, etc).
Dr. Yen, though, is amazing. First, I only paid half of what I paid at the other chiropractor's. In return, I get a range of treatment from his facility including: massage therapy, physical therapy, nerve testing, and x-ray. This is all included in the co-pay, and I don't need to make an appointment with any other professionals. This helps speed things up, make things more efficient, and financially helpful.
I really highly recommend Dr. Yen and his office staff. His team is a great bunch. Professional, but also very kind to their patients.
Waiting time varies - sometimes longer than others - but I have generally been seen within 10-15 minutes of arriving.

Dr Yen is excellent. He is the only doctor who managed to correct my spine (vertebra) after an accident that occurred over a decade ago. I have been pain free since then and this is nothing short than a miracle.

I felt like I was being hustled. I was concerned about a crooked spine and wanted x-rays upon the first visit. Somehow I ended up going three visits before he finally gave me the results, which showed my back was fine. He still suggested I should keep coming to see him twice weekly.

I started to see results after 3 weeks, with 1 or 2 visits a week. He asked a lot of questions to find out what the cause of the pain was. The care was very customized. He approached the therapy with different methods including adjustments, message therapy and laser heat treatment. Very effective!

I had a pulled muscle from terrible lifting technique. I scheduled a visit with Gary and he did some pretty basic observations and very rushed.
On the consultation visit he merely used electric shock pads and minimum physical contact and figuring out what actually happened.
He wanted me to come back for 9 more treatments to do the same thing, which I did not feel he showed a high degree of expertise. He was a bit rushed. Also, told me to lose weight and not be out of shape. I'm within good weight for a healthy young man. I think I'd rather go see someone in Chinatown for the cost of what I payed with this chiropractor.
