“This was one of my first virtual appointments, which I mentioned to Gehan. She was incredibly comforting especially since I was pretty nervous about my visit. She was clear and straight to the point; got my assessment and diagnosis right away. Gehan is incredible. The only other thing I will add for other new patients is that after you book an appointment through Zocdoc you will have to sign in with Circle Medical. For someone who is a worrywart, rest assured that your appointment is valid and confirmed. I saw Gehan exactly the time and date that was confirmed.”

In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
A primary care provider is one who asks many questions and actively listens to the patient's verbal and non-verbal cues. As we gather this information, we build rapport and trust. We are investigators; we uncover the many layers one has in order to understand where the patient is coming from. This allows for proper assessment, diagnosing, and treating accordingly.
What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I am very passionate about contributing to the healing process for my clients through exceptional, individualized, patient-centered care. As a nurse practitioner, I am able to help patients restore their health, prevent disease, and promote wellness by performing detailed physical assessments, diagnosing, and treating those under my direct care. I love to see patients improve their mental and physical health; this helps patients live a more content life!
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have three beautiful kids, my husband, and my cockapoo who I spend all of my time with! I love my family so much. I have an amazing support system. I am very content with my life.

Gehan and her office both seem unorganized. We had numerous appointments over a month and each time I had to remind her who I am, my history, and what we talked about the previous appointment. I don’t think she reviews her own notes. Very disappointed by this entire experience. I’m returning to a doctor in a different state I haven’t seen in years just so I can quit using this office.

Gehan is wonderful at her job!! She made me feel incredibly comfortable especially given the fact that I hate any type of medical visit. She was professional, friendly, and was really good at building rapport. I can tell that she cares about the patients that she takes on and she wants to build lasting relationships to give the best treatment options possible. She's very knowledgable, I definitely recommend her.
