Dr. Gennady Kolodenker found his love for medicine very early on. He began his medical career filing charts and knew that his passion was helping others. During his final year of high school and into college, he worked as a medical assistant for four years. He graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2003. Dr. Kolodenker earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He then completed his four-year medical school training and graduated in 2007 from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Following medical school, he completed a three-year surgical foot and ankle podiatry residency at University Hospital in Newark, NJ, where he was named Chief Resident in his final year. The UMDNJ residency provided him with vast experience in trauma, limb preservation, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Kolodenker is a board-certified Adult and Pediatric Foot and Ankle Surgeon practicing in Southern California. He is on staff at Hoag Newport Beach and Irvine, as well as at Children's Hospital of Orange County. He has a special interest in wound reconstruction, foot and ankle fractures, bunion and hammertoe surgery, joint replacement surgery, and neuroma excision. He speaks fluent Russian and has been in practice for over 13 years.
