About Dr. George Bolotin
George Bolotin, MD, is the Medical Director at the Astra Vein Treatment Center. A double board-certified Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist, he's also one of the primary Astra Fibroid Treatment Specialists. His expertise in these two different but related medical fields stems from his training as an Interventional Radiologist, a medical field that allows him to serve men and women all across New York City.
Dr. Bolotin's extensive training and gentle touch help him stand out in the field of medicine. He's just as comfortable handling abnormal vein conditions as he is resolving the different types and conditions of fibroids. He outfitted his practice with the latest medical equipment and the friendliest staff.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine, Dr. Bolotin was invited by New York City's Mount Sinai Hospital to complete a rigorous surgical intern year in their Department of Surgery, where he excelled during an intensive five-month training in vascular surgery. Following this, in 2013, he began a four-year residency program in Diagnostic Radiology at Albany Medical College, where he learned directly from Dr. Gary Siskin, one of the foremost uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) pioneers.
In 2017, Dr. Bolotin was accepted into the coveted and highly competitive Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Indiana University Hospital, frequently regarded as one of the premier IR training programs in the world. There, he trained under the tutelage of renowned IR specialists, including Dr. Matthew Johnson and Dr. Sabah Butty. Fellowships are a prestigious honor for young doctors, offering benefits such as an additional year of intensive study for specialization and training under some of the best-qualified experts in the field.
