About Dr. George Hanna
Dr. George Hanna is a Harvard-trained, double-board-certified spine pain specialist and anesthesiologist, providing advanced, non-surgical treatments and injections for back pain, joint injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Hanna specializes in office-based and outpatient procedures, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, facet joint blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and regenerative treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
He develops individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each patient, especially those looking to maintain an active lifestyle despite persistent pain.
Dr. Hanna received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Brigham and Women’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School.
He later served as a Clinical Instructor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, where he trained new physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital in the latest pain management techniques. He also held leadership positions as the Director of Pain Innovations & Technology at Harvard, Medical Director of Pain Management at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, and Chairman of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Chilton Medical Center, Atlantic Health System (NJ).
Dr. Hanna combines compassionate, patient-centered care with cutting-edge technology to treat back pain, neck pain, and spine conditions, helping patients regain their mobility and reclaim their lives.

Dr. Hanna is an excellent doctor. He is a good listener, knowledgeable, compassionate, a pain management specialist/anesthesiologist who cares for the well being of his patients. He takes his time to get to know the patient, how to help them with their pain and answers all the questions fully. The staff is very helpful as well and polite. Mckenize is an amazing medical assistant; always goes the extra mile to help the patient and sensitive to their needs. You will spend minimal time in the waiting area, the offices are clean, and they follow all the necessary precautions and measures to protect the patients, considering the pandemia that we are currently faced with. My mother had severe sciatica pain, which after the MRI, we found out that she also had some issues with her discs. We had an emergency and Dr. Hanna was available after hours. The next day, Dr. Hanna also called my mother to see how she was feeling and wanted us to keep in touch, making sure we kept him updated with her process. We needed an MRI done and McKenize assisted us with obtaining results and checking up to make sure my mother was feeling well. There are no words to express our gratitude. We highly recommend Dr. Hanna, McKenzie and his staff.

Great experience with Dr Hanna. He really took the time to explain and go through everything with me. He cleared up all my questions and provided a clear treatment path to get better from my neck, lumbar and wrist injuries. Also, the staff have great customer service not only in-person but also over the phone. That is actually the kind of experience you would like when you are not feeling great.

Dr. Hanna continues to help me with back pain and knee pain. He is a very smart doctor and hightly trained. His staff is so nice. He has recommended physical therapy, chiropractor and acupuncture which also helps.

I had a positive experience with Dr. Hanna, he was professional and explained in detail the diagnosis. I never felt like I was rushed also he pushed for getting an MRI done to figure out what was wrong with my knee. I've had problems in the past where doctors would only go for an x-ray which provides much less information for knee problems.

I had the best experience at Dr. Hanna's offices, both in NYC and NJ. From the second I walked in the door, I felt welcomed and in great hands. Their staff was outstanding and Dr. Hanna's care was exceptional. He really took the time to listen to my concerns and after a few visits, I am in significantly less pain. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Hanna! He is a gentleman and a scholar!!! Also, some of the nicest, most modern offices I have ever seen.

The office and staff were soooooo nice, Dr. Hanna himself was extremely informative and knowledgeable.
What i liked the most was the fact that the doctor was honest and upfront about treatment options.
Also, the insurance department was super helpful getting all my treatments covered.

While the office was very nice and clean, the doctor along with the staff made it very apparent that they were more interested in maximizing revenue rather than actually caring for my injury. My pain is still not resolved and this doctor made no effort to treat me (before talking about costly treatments that were ). Very disappointed.

I have had the best medical visits with Dr.Hanna.
Dr.Hanna has friendly welcoming staff that are very accommodating. My visits with Dr.Hanna where very comforting, he listened to my question and concerns and explained every process thoroughly. After my first injection with Dr. Hanna he contacted me to follow up on how I was doing before my next visit which haven’t gotten with most doctors I have seen.
I am very satisfied with the treatment a care Dr. Hanna and his staff provides. He is now my go to for any future orthopedic/pain management needs.
