After graduating summa cum laude from Georgia Tech with a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, she went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. She then completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, and a REI fellowship at UCSF. She is an inducted member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and is board certified in both Ob/Gyn and REI. Dr. Ekpo is passionate about increasing access to reproductive care and education/outreach and previously interned at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland. She has been invited to speak at various global fertility conferences and is also a Volunteer Clinical Professor at UCSF/Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where she teaches Ob/Gyn residents. She feels very privileged to be able to assist patients in their family building endeavors, and her clinical areas of expertise include infertility, in vitro fertilization, intrauterine insemination, egg freezing, PCOS, fibroids, recurrent pregnancy loss and 3rd party parenting. Dr. Ekpo serves patients from our East Bay and San Francisco, CA clinics.
