About Dr. Gerard Acloque Jr
Dr. Gerard Acloque is a native of Hollywood, Fl.
After graduating from Florida A&M University he attended Medical School in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed Internal Medicine Residency in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 2016.
Once completing his training, he recognized a need for healthcare role models in his hometown so he returned to South Florida. He began his career as an attending physician at Kendall Regional Medical Center. While there for 5 years Dr. Acloque treated thousands of acutely ill patients with excellent results and quickly gained the respect of his colleagues for his professionalism, dedication to patient care, and love of patient education.
In 2021, he felt the need for a change deciding to open his own medical practice, Florida Concierge Medicine & Wellness.
Dr. Acloque has structured every aspect of his practice such that it is centered on the patient and obsessed with perfecting the doctor-patient relationship to the point where speaking to a doctor is easy and convenient, eliminating as many barriers as possible such as language, lack of access, time and cost.
Florida Concierge Medicine & Wellness boasts a complete menu of services ranging from routine internal medicine care/prevention, annual exams, women/men's health, prescription refills, preoperative clearances, anti-wrinkle injections (BOTOX), body sculpting, various aesthetic laser procedures, and much more.
Dr. Acloque is also well known in the community for his hard work in medical research with some of his work published in distinguished publications such as the New England Journal Medicine.

This provider displayed the most unprofessional conduct I have ever encountered. When I provided a written list of referral requests to streamline communication, he became volatile, ignorant, and erratic then immediately refused all referrals. He inappropriately questioned why I changed PCPs, disrespected my boundaries, and assumed my motives. His outbursts made me feel unsafe, and the clinic no longer felt like a medical environment.
He was inadequate in independently reviewing my ultrasounds and blood work. He kept relying on me to do his job. He initially agreed to refer me to an endo but then dismissed it after reviewing my labs, disregarding evidence of thyroid enlargement. He was adamant about not giving me a referral for a gastro and then decided that he could after asking me questions. It was a never-ending tug of war over something that is my medical right.
He kept saying "We aren't going to work out," as if we were dating in a child-like tantrum to quit the the appt early.

On top of being prompt and being seen at the time I was scheduled, I believe I was in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes. Dr. Acloque took time to listen to my needs, and actually helped me navigate my complex medical situation. I will forever be grateful and come back to him. I almost don’t want to give him a good review so I could have him to myself but honestly, this is truly one of the first times I felt heard by a provider. His staff is also very professional and prompt. He did not jus focus on one thing, but my overall health and did a full thorough history to get to know me as a first time patient.
