Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
IL
I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric medication management and biologically informed treatments for conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and more. I am accepting new patients for ongoing medication management support. I do not provide therapy. My approach is both holistic and integrative, combining evidence-based pharmacology with complementary wellness practices to support healing on every level of the mind, body, and spirit. Fluent in Spanish, I work to bridge language and cultural divides to ensure care is not only clinically effective, but also personal, inclusive, and culturally attuned. I strive to create an affirming space for individuals of all gender identities and expressions, and I am a proud ally to the LGBTQ+ community. With a strong commitment to fostering hope and recovery, I work to empower individuals to achieve their mental health goals and lead fulfilling lives. What sets me apart is my ability to form authentic, compassionate connections with patients from all walks of life. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling the world, exploring new culinary experiences, and spending time with family and friends—including long walks with Buster, my French Bulldog.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I hold two Master's Degrees: one in Nursing from the University of Illinois, and another from the University of Cincinnati, where I completed training and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, which enriches my understanding of the mind-body connection and informs how to integrate movement, breath work, and somatic awareness into treatment planning. My clinical foundation includes training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where I developed a deep appreciation for evidence-based practice, innovation, and treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin by gathering a thorough understanding of your history, current challenges, and personal goals. Together, we develop a customized plan that may include therapy, medication management, lifestyle strategies, or other supportive interventions tailored to your needs. I regularly check in to track progress, make adjustments as needed, and ensure your care continues to align with your goals. My approach is collaborative, aiming to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout your mental health journey.

You will receive a phone call from one of our dedicated Care Advocates, who can answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to provide a credit card to keep on file for co-pays or cancellation fees. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full intake appointment fee ($292). During your intake appointment, you’ll spend 60 minutes with your provider collaborating on a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
