About Gladys Ngassa-Happi

Gladys completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1999. She then worked in several specialty ICUs, trauma, PACU, transplant, dialysis, wound care, and research at Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland Medical Centers, before earning an MSN in Leadership and Management from Walden University in 2014. She took on several leadership roles as a clinical coordinator and patient care coordinator at UMMS and Fresenius Kidney Care, as well as a project manager and nephrology SME with government contractors, CMS and CDC, and with the University of Maryland Medical Systems. Gladys also completed her post-master FNP degree at Bradley University
As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she blends conventional and functional medicine approaches with a strong foundation in nursing/conventional medicine to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. In her practice, she focuses on addressing the root causes of illness and how to promote optimal wellness. She integrates evidence-based practices with holistic therapies to support the unique needs of each individual. From preventive care and chronic disease management to nutritional guidance and lifestyle coaching, she partners with patients to empower them towards achieving their health goals and living their best lives.
Gladys is the current President of the American Nephrology Nurses Association (chapter 101) and also the President of the Cameroonian American Nurses Association (camna-usa.org). She has been actively volunteering locally and in medical missions abroad since 2005. Gladys is also a member of several organizations: AANP, CAMNA-USA, ANA and ANNA.
