Getting to know Grace Adwabour

My name is Grace Adwabour, I am a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have been Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for about 2 years and a Family Nurse Practitioner for about 7 years now. I have Extensive History in Psychiatry, I worked as psych Nurse for about 12 years. I provide Compassionate, Empathetic, patient centered care to my patients.I work collaboratively with my patients, I respectfully provide individualistic care to each patient.I work with my patients to come up with realistic, achievable treatment plans to promote their mental health and general well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Life is full of challenges, feeling overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally drained could burn you out. As a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in Psychiatry, I specialize in helping adults manage stress, anxiety, depression, burn-out, and ADHD. I provide excellent individualized and collaborative Psychiatric care to my patients. I combine medication management with therapeutic support to make sure you feel heard, respected and involved in your care. You don't have to go through Mental Health challenges alone. With compassion and empathy, I would work together with you to create a treatment plan that will work for you, a treatment plan that would promote your mental health and general well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

For an Initial Evaluation, I begin with an extensive psych evaluation where I non-judgmentally take time to understand your history, symptoms, lifestyle, stressors and goals. Then together with you we clarify what your main concerns are and we discuss possible diagnosis and treatment options. For Follow-ups, I focus on monitoring your progress, adjusting your meds as needed, addressing med side effects if any and continuation of supportive therapeutic guidance. I provide individualized care. I provide evidenced based medication management and talk therapy. With regular reassessment of your progress and thoughtful adjustments, you will feel supported, stabilized and empowered.
