Getting to know Grace Onye
Life can often present us with roadblocks, hardships, and tragedies. Because of this, it's sometimes easy to feel stuck and helpless. It can be difficult trying to figure out how to navigate such life challenges and whom to confide in about them. That's where I come in. I hold a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Regis College and a Bachelor's degree from Salem State University, equipping me to support you through these difficult times.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner I care deeply about the emotional and mental health of my clients. I assess, diagnose, and treat mental health needs. In my 20 year career in mental health nursing I've worked in hospitals, behavioral health/addictions clinics, long-term care/assisted living facilities, remote telehealth nursing, etc.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I help with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, life transitions, low-self-esteem, family conflict, substance abuse, poor relationships, etc. I equip clients with the tools and coping skills they need to build resiliency and develop better self-esteem, relationships, communication skills, etc. to live a healthier, more meaningful and productive life
