Grant Myers, APRN, RN

Grant Myers, APRN, RN

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
509 Main St Bldg A, 2nd Fl, Ste B, Toms River, NJ
I have worked in various roles since graduating college and have over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. I earned my Master’s in Nursing from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. I have worked as an aid in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, as a nurse locally in both psychiatric and medical hospitals, and as a nurse practitioner in outpatient clinics, sub-acute rehabs, assisted living, and nursing facilities. Working with thousands of individuals in different capacities has provided me unique insight into how important it is to be humble, respectful, and empathetic. Philosophy Trust You need a provider you can trust. I believe that the relationship between you and your provider is the most important factor in providing excellent care. Collaboration Working together is the most effective way to get the best treatment possible and the quickest way to recover. Compassion You are the expert on how your body feels, and you need someone who is willing to listen and understand you. Personalized Treatment You need a treatment plan that fits your needs. Although I believe a combination of both therapy and medication is the most effective treatment, I am well aware of the risks and benefits of medication and the possible side effects. I also understand medication may not be the answer for everyone. Integrative Medicine Alternative and contemporary therapies are effective in treating most disorders, and we can discuss options that do not involve medications.
