About Guadalupe Torres
She is a nationally-certified advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) fluent in Spanish who enjoys working with patients from diverse cultures and customs. Lupe's specialties include contraceptives, IUDs/implants, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, and adolescent care.
As a women's health care nurse practitioner, she believes in empathy, developing a trusting relationship with her patients, and educating them on meeting their optimal health. Lupe earned her Master's in Maternal Child Nursing from Rush University and holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois Chicago.
Lupe has been married to Jaime for over 30 years and has three grown children. When not at work, she enjoys tending to her succulent plants, traveling, watching international movies, volunteering for the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization Spanish group, and following the FIGHTING ILLINI basketball and football teams with her family.

It was a bit of a strange experience. The front desk lady was friendly but asking me personal health questions in front of other patients. I felt like the provider had unspoken words about my health. She later said she was helping me out by converting my appointment to a well visit and I never asked her to do a well visit. She then assumed I could not afford treatment and suggested a health department visit. She was nice but somewhat inappropriate. I have seen other providers in this office and it’s been fine. I am not sure if I will see this particular provider again. I would rate my visit as awkward.

On arrival, I was greeted with plenty of staff, who gave me paperwork to make sure of follow up and access to my patient portal! Nurses stood by my every step for any help needed. The exam room is clean and has a small dressing room too ! Dr. Torres is a warm and intelligent physician who truly cares for my concerns out of the office as well! Very lovely remodeled office!
