She completed her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Seton Hall University. Gwen has experience working in a variety of settings with a variety of ages from birth to adulthood. She treats a wide spectrum of needs including expressive and receptive language, pragmatic/social skills, articulation and phonology, augmentative and alternative speech devices, hearing loss, memory, comprehension, and literacy. Gwen has worked directly with the special needs population for 10+ years. In addition to her extensive professional experience, Gwen is also a sister to an adult with Down syndrome. She is passionate about forming strong relationships with her clients and providing high-quality services to individuals and families with special needs. Gwen believes in lifelong learning and continues to stay up to date with the current research and evidence-based practices to best support the individuals she works with. In addition to all her experiential knowledge, Gwen is trained in Lindamood Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing, DIR Floortime, Wilson Reading Program, Play-based therapy techniques, Dysphagia management, Lindamood Bell Talkies, PROMPT, EET, and Social Thinking.
