Dr. Sanusi was born in Surabaya, Indonesia. His parents emigrated to the United States in 1970. He grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Vanderbilt University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He went to medical school at UVA, graduating in 1989. He then completed his residency training in the Department of Family Medicine at UVA. Dr. Sanusi lives in Albemarle County with his wife, Martha, and their five children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, camping, photography, cheering on any number of Cavalier sports teams, and playing rousing games of Scattergories with his family. Professionally, Dr. Sanusi enjoys caring for entire families with an emphasis on minor surgeries, pediatrics, preventative care, and sports medicine.
