“She answered all my questions and made me very comfortable throughout the visit. Like many, I don’t particularly like going to doctors, however she seems to be an exception to this rule for me. First time seeing her and I’m not afraid to come back and have her address any concern I have. This is a huge deal for me.”

I felt like Dr. Eltahan was very kind and respectful, as it was my first visit with her. However, I felt like some of the things she said were a little to the point, and made me feel kind of bad. she told me my BMI was healthy, but was approaching overweight. I have never been told that was a problem by my pediatrician, so it kind of caught me off guard, as i have been the same weight for years. i understand she didn’t mean this in a hurtful way, but i am a young girl who has struggled with body image issues in the past, so this approach i found a little hurtful, especially because my bmi is healthy.
