Haley McRaven, NP, APRN, PMHNP, RN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
FL
With over 20 years of experience in healthcare, my journey began as a Certified Nursing Assistant before advancing through multiple areas of nursing including medical-surgical, obstetrics, orthopedics, and psychiatric care. These experiences provided me with a broad understanding of both physical and mental health, while reinforcing the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care. Throughout my career, I found a deep passion for psychiatric and mental wellness care, ultimately leading me to create Bren Collective — a practice rooted in connection, individualized care, and a deeper understanding of each person’s unique story. I am especially passionate about supporting the development of emotionally resilient youth athletes, helping individuals navigate chronic illness, and thoughtfully exploring the “why” behind mental health symptoms in order to provide personalized and meaningful care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe the best care begins with genuine connection. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing what's most important to you. I take a collaborative approach to treatment, taking time to understand your unique experiences, concerns, and goals before developing a personalized plan together. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood concerns, or navigating life's challenges, I strive to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that is both compassionate and practical. My hope is that every patient leaves each appointment feeling understood, empowered, and confident in the next steps of their journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, where we'll take time to understand your history, current concerns, strengths, and goals. This initial visit allows us to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Depending on your situation, treatment may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, collaboration with your therapist or other healthcare providers, and ongoing education to help you better understand your mental health. When appropriate, pharmacogenomic (genetic) testing may also be considered to help guide medication decisions. Follow-up appointments focus on monitoring your progress, adjusting treatment as needed, and ensuring you continue moving toward your goals. My approach is collaborative, meaning we'll make decisions together while maintaining open communication throughout your care.
