First thing that Dr said to me was, I don’t prescribe opioids. Just had back surgery with 10 screws in my back. Experiencing a lot of pain. He also said “ not sure why you’re having pain if you had surgery!”
My Surgeon referred me to Pain Clinic. Then Pain Dr recommended. Journavyx which is a new medication for my lower back pain however it’s pamphlet said it’s not used for lower back pain. Then stated that he could follow up with injections. I’ll have to look him up to see if he’s getting kickbacks.

Initial Experience was fine but my disappointment comes in how long it takes to then get actual treatment -- 1st its the "new patient visit", now its schedule the injection, which won't happen until the scheduler calls in 4-6 days as they were not there in person today even though my appointment ended at 2.15 p.m. A call the next day would certainly be much nicer . . .
Then how long before I actually will get the appointment for the injection I so sorely need? Unfortunately I really have no other option given all the time I have invested here and in the end I believe I will get good treatment.
That said, the pain does not care, nor does it abate for the next two weeks or so? -- hence my frustration . . . I hope all this can be expedited so I can do more than self treatment with pain killers, a tens unit, ice and Lidocaine patches because despite all my self treatment efforts I won't be getting very many good night's sleep in the interim.

I thought the doc was very knowledgeable and well-spoken but it felt very rushed. I also felt like he kinda talked down to me because he does not prescribe pain pills and I have been taking them for 30 years
