About Dr. Hany Zekry

Hany Zekry, DO was born & raised in Egypt. The body's ability to move different muscles to perform extreme tasks and its mechanisms of injury and recovery have always awed him. His fascination with human locomotion exhibited itself when he played soccer as a teenager. Dr Zekry aimed to understand the movements and muscles needed to emerge as a strong player. The field lessons he acquired shaped his life and consequently led him to medical school to understand the importance of a healthy body that is essential within Medicine. Hany worked in Egypt as a resident in infectious diseases and treated diverse populations, including those suffering from many different medical problems. This background underscores his desire to better the lives of patients recuperating from similar issues, thereby restoring their dreams. After his Relocation to the USA, Dr Zekry joined the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, which exposed him to the osteopathic aspects of Medicine that can be incorporated as I develop into a well-rounded practitioner. As a former intern at Clarion Hospital Butler Health System, Hany managed varied medical conditions during rotations in all specialties. As a former PM&R resident, he continued to build rapport and facilitate care plans aimed at improving the quality of life. Dr Zekry switched to Family Medicine to support his lifelong interest in human physiology and enable him to incorporate knowledge, skills, and experience to accurately diagnose and devise solid treatment plans. During residency, he was eager to maintain meaningful relationships, guide patients through stages of recovery, assist them with overcoming obstacles, and transform their frustration into triumph. Hany would like to thank his wife, Christina, and his kids, Mark & Julia, for their unwavering love, support, and sacrifices over her entire life. They are truly the key to his success story. After graduation, Dr Zekry will go back to NJ to join an outpatient Family Medicine Group.
