If you have hours on end to waste waiting then this is the place for you. Not professional by any means and don’t even bother making an appointment on Zocdoc because they clearly don’t adhere to the times. Do yourself afavor and find a doctor that will actually respect your time and is efficient.

Let me start by saying- I was truly impressed by Dr. Polavarapu. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and documents all/ as most insurance companies require all details. I was able to squeeze in via Zoc doc forthe 2nd to last appointment of the day. I always appreciate it when I don’t have to wait a few weeks to see a Dr. I went in for bloodwork and was aware that I needed to fast even though the first question asked prior to blood being drawn was-did you fast today? LOL- of course, why else would I schedule a bloodwork if I didn’t fast- anybody that’s ever had blood drawn knows that non-fasting will skew results. Anyhow- the front desk staff was as pleasant as can be- I mean they pick up phones and do computer work, billing and apts. The place could use a slight refurb- but it’s clean and the Dr H is quite experienced and has an excellent bedside manner. I look forward to continuing to rely on HP Medical for all my medical needs. Keep up the great work!

I was very pleased with my experience at HP Medical. I can be a hard critic of store front care places and the people employed by them. Combine that attitude with an innate crankiness when I’m not feeling at allwell and the result can be much less than pleasant. My experience was a world away from previous experiences elsewhere. It was good to be treated with professionalism and care. When I say Dr H and all the other employees of HP Medical made me feel that I was in safe hands and even made me smile when I left, then you can believe they are the best. I am truly grateful and won’t get that awful feeling of dread the next time I get sick and am unable to see my own physician. I was able to squeeze in via Zoc Doc. Dr H was so thorough and meticulous. I appreciated the follow-up and willingness to answer questions also. A big thank you to all at HP Medical.

I had a pretty bad experience here. Not all of my complaints are against this doctor, but more so the other staff. Extremely unprofessional — lots of nurses interrupting while my vitals were being taken and very little explanation around medsI was prescribed. My blood was also taken by a nurse given the knowledge that I had not fasted; a sure way to get skewed results. I would not recommend this care facility to anyone.

I think i received adequate care (for my yearly physical and blood work), but I have to say the office is not especially well organized, and the assistants, although very kind, were not especially professional. I would go there again, ifI had to, but I do expect more professionalism from my healthcare providers.

The staff is very friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was the waiting time it took me about 50 minutes just to have someone take my vitals and another 45 to see the doctor. My appoinment was for 2 Iarrived at 1:20 and left the clinic at 3:30. Took longer than expected.

I'm very happy with Dr. P as my primary care doctor. My negative experience is only due to the clinic administration. I booked my appointment on Zocdoc, after which the clinic created multiple appointments for me on the wrong dates. Icorrected this over the phone with them. I arrived to appointment on my scheduled time and had to wait for an hour an a half to be seen. Only when I saw the doctor did I find out that they had my appointment scheduled for 40 minutes EARLIER than what I had booked, which is why I was pushed back.

Dr. Polavarapu is professional, informative, and makes you feel comfortable. Staff was friendly too. It’s nice that it is a private office and not a big system extension that feels like a cattle call. Felt like a person and not a number. Will be coming back!

What’s the point of making an appointment at this place? I cannot believe that I waited for almost 2 hours to see a nurse (?) who took my blood pressure 7 times—it was likely quite high on the last go around. It doesn’t instill confidence if a task as basic as this can’t be done correctly. Then another nurse verbally asked me the same questions I answered on their 10-page questionnaire, which included having my picture taken—still confused on that one, especially since they also required my drivers license. Dr. P was nice enough—checks the box that most New York doctors do of having a pulse—but I walked out not diagnosed & really feeling like I had wasted a massive portion of my day.

Everyone there was helpful, courteous, and professional. They took the time to answer my questions both relevant and nonrelevant. Met with a warmth that was great for easing my anxieties. I was very grateful. Am very grateful. Dr. P took histime and was very attentive. Good experience for sure. (Have a follow up in 2 weeks, hoping for more of the same.)

Most disorganized doctor's office I've ever been to. It took me more than an hour to see the nurse on my first visit. We were interrupted literally EIGHT times (I counted) either by other nurses who needed something from my nurseor the room, or because my nurse needed to get something from somewhere else. After the nurse I waited another full hour to see the doctor. Finally got my checkup and blood test. After coming back a week later to get my results, they discover that they never sent my bloodwork out, and it had to be taken again. Also the expected copay was inaccurate. Everyone I interacted with was nice, but it was still the most disorganized place of business I've ever been in. It was downright impressive.

I only met Dr. Hari once briefly at the end of my follow up appointment where I checked out a lump I had on my thigh. He was nice! But more than anything I was so impressed and grateful for hownice the nurse practitioners were as well as the receptionists. They put in all my data and reviewed my general health and I felt taken care of! Glad to have found this place.

I didn't get the sense that I was getting particularly careful care. The doctor was generally nice, but I found discussing LGBT health topics to be more uncomfortable than I've experienced with other doctors and I think that was a barrierto effective/honest communication. Office wait times were pretty slow. They didn't collect copays like expected and ended up billing months later. The medical assistants there seemed inexperienced and unsupervised/mentored when collecting vitals and performing blood draws. Office staff generally didn't follow through on dealing with specific insurance processes.

Horrible, horrible experience with Dr. Polavarapu. First, I waited in a crowded waiting room for over an hour despite having a Zocdoc appointment. He spent almost no time listening to my issues, and then prescribed me the exact same medicationthat I already had at home (I even showed him a photo of the meds - I guess he wasn't looking). The worst part: I was overcharged for my appointment by a significant sum. I called his office over a dozen times and was told I needed to call back to speak to the Office Manager. I am convinced that this person doesn't exist, as I never spoke to her. I ended up having my insurance company call, and I was promised a check in the mail. It has been over 10 months since my appointment, and I am still owed money by Dr. Polavarapu. Earlier this week, I was notified that I had a certified letter waiting for me at the post office from Dr. Polavarapu's office. After waiting an hour to collect the letter, I found that it wasn't the check, but a two-sentence note telling me that I missed an appointment (which, obviously, I never made). Dr. Polavarapu should be ashamed, and his staff is incompetent. Please do yourself a favor and see a different doctor. Literally anyone else.

This was my first visit to Dr. "P"'s office. He made made me feel comfortable to discuss my issues on my visit . Recently, I had a need for a specific check-up and I decided to make an appointment with him.I'm so glad I did because it convinced me to make him my primary care doctor. Dr. p has really great bedside manner and is very informative. Other doctors sometimes give me the impression that they are too busy to help you, Not dr P, he takes the time to explain everything carefully and will answer all your questions. He is knowledgeable, caring and I highly recommend him.
