About Dr. Harkaran Guryan

Dr. Harkaran Guryan completed his Bachelor of Science in biology at Baylor University in 2011. He went on to complete his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2015. He completed internships in Internal Medicine and General Surgery in 2016 and 2017, respectively, at Baylor College of Medicine. He went on to complete his General Surgery residency in 2022 at Baylor University Medical Center/Baylor Scott & White in Dallas. He was inspired to become a physician in college where he was able to explore different career paths possible for biology majors. He appreciated the tangible impact healthcare had upon people and being able to use science to bring positive change to the community. Dr. Guryan treats patients for most general surgical issues, including hernias, gall bladder disease, intestinal disease, breast cancers, and skin cancers. His clinical interests are within minimally invasive surgery involving abdominal hernias.
