Getting to know Dr. Harpreet Kaur

Dr. Harpreet Kaur is board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. Dr. Kaur individualizes care to better serve patients while judiciously using resources to help patients with dual diagnoses. She has experience with mood, eating disorders, trauma, and neurodevelopmental clinics. Dr. Kaur has worked in walk-in clinics, inpatient units for children and adolescents, partial hospitalization programs, residential treatment programs, school mental health programs, and telepsychiatry. She completed her residency at the University of Louisville and fellowships at the University of Maryland and with the Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry program. Dr. Kaur enjoys exercising, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

dr. kaur was forgiving re my forgetting the appointment and coming in late.also, when i mentioned a doctor i will see soon for a neuro psych workup, in seconds drkaur had looked her up, told me, in essence, that the doc had the skills to help me.
i like and respect dr. kaur very much! it could due to my listening skills, but i do get lost sometimes in her long sentences, even when non-technical.
my clinician dr. kaur is so wonderful. i?ve been seeing her since i moved to chico from the bay area. she has helped me maintain my adhd symptoms and improved my quality of life. i rely on her and my medication management to be a better mom!

due to pandemic i had to make telehealth appointments instead of in person and this worked out very well for me i'm grateful that i have the provider dr kaur.
i greatly appreciated dr. kaur?s accommodating my wife in my appointment with her! she was warm and welcoming.at the moment, it?s hard to be pleased with the results of our appointments in total, though, because i?m uncomfortably anxious these days. dr. kaur and i agreed that i would remain on my current maintenance dose of effexor for a week, monitoring my blood pressure. it?s been hard. that?s not on her. we?ll how things shape up after this week.one crit i would offer is that?for me?dr. kaur?s sentences can sometimes get long, tangled and thus somewhat unclear when she explains things. i know it?s on me to speak up when i don?t understand?.
my dr is educated and compassionate. she covers the medical stuff and also a little of the mental/ emotional side. truly wish she could be both dr and therapist because her knowledge is good and her delivery is great. i'm very receptive to her suggestions.
