His clinical interests include addiction and addiction-related disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, developmental and cognitive disorders, as well as trauma-related mental health conditions. An avid traveler, scuba diver, polo player, and father of three, Dr. Bokhari is currently working on developing a comprehensive yet pragmatic diagnostic system for children with cognitive, learning, and developmental delays. He is a strong advocate of integrated medicine with a holistic approach and regularly consults Ayurvedic texts, the Compendium of Materia Medica, Kampo, and traditional African and Mesoamerican medicine scrolls for guidance. He also serves as voluntary faculty at the University of South Florida and is part of the faculty with the BayCare Hospital system of Tampa Bay.
