Getting to know Hawah Comfort Guar
As a bedside ICU nurse for 25 years caring for critically ill patients, I became deeply aware of the psychological and physiological burdens placed on patients and their families. I wanted to provide more than just bedside care. As a provider, I could offer holistic care—physiological and spiritual—to my patients, so I obtained my master’s degree specializing as a family nurse practitioner. Additionally, I earned a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Maryville University to further expand my ability to treat the whole person. For the last four years, I have been providing care as a hospitalist mid-level practitioner to acutely ill patients and their families. I partner with each patient and their families to develop individualized plans of care tailored to their needs while serving as their advocate and demonstrating respect, empathy, and compassionate bedside manners. As a PMHNP, I treat the whole person, considering their mental and social factors rather than just the symptoms of a disease.

Hawah Guar is amazing! She is compassionate, friendly and actively listens to you. She never makes you feel rushed or unheard and always lets you know she hears and acknowledges your sentiments.
