What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to cultivate a space where my clients have the opportunity and safety to be their most authentic selves; be that raw, ugly, good, bad, or indifferent. Most of us spend our whole day or lives changing masks between being a colleague, child, sibling, spouse, parent, friend, etc. Give yourself the freedom to come into sessions as you are, how you really are without any masks. I have a very honest communication style. I find a nice balance between being assertive and compassionate. I will likely push you to the brink of your comfort zone, but you can count on me to be there with you during the tough moments of growth. I also have a wonderful sense of humor and attempt to make our work together impactful with personality.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My methods are a little less conventional than most, but I receive positive feedback regarding the "razzle dazzle" I bring into our sessions. I am a transparent therapist who understands and values the connection of the human experience. We're all doing the best we can, with the resources currently available to us. While we'll be predominantly working from a cognitive behavioral approach, I will pull from a variety of modalities to best suit your individual needs. We're a team on tackling new skills and strategies to improve the problematic areas you identify at the onset of therapy. I practice from a collaborative approach. I will never know you better than you know you. You know what isn't working for you, and why you're here reading this right now. Together we're going to prioritize your concerns and establish realistic, attainable, and sustainable steps to accomplish your goals.
