Dr. Heather Davidson, MD

Dr. Heather Davidson, MD

Pediatrician
332 Washington St, Wellesley Hills, MA
I am a board-certified pediatrician with more than 25 years of experience, and my practice is now devoted exclusively to the mental health of children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 25. I treat anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, and adjustment difficulties, including school stress and the transition to college. Because I am a physician trained in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, I provide therapy and medication management together. Families work with one clinician who considers the medical, developmental, and psychological factors as a whole, rather than coordinating between two providers. My interest in how young people think and feel began with my degree in psychology from Brown University, before medical school at Tufts. During two decades in primary care pediatrics, I followed many patients from infancy through college and saw firsthand how emotions, family dynamics, and school shape a child's well-being. I have since completed hundreds of hours of advanced training, primarily through Massachusetts General Hospital, in child psychiatry, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP) for anxiety and OCD, and pediatric psychopharmacology. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I partner with young people and their parents, use treatments that are backed by evidence, and prescribe thoughtfully when medication is likely to help. My goal is to help each patient build lasting resilience and feel like themselves again.
