What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a psychiatric provider specializing in complex, treatment-resistant, and trauma-based mental health presentations. My practice is designed for individuals who need a more nuanced, in-depth, and highly personalized approach. I intentionally offer longer visits and a relational model of care so there is time to understand the full picture - childhood history, past trauma, attachment patterns, nervous system responses, medical conditions, family dynamics, and ongoing day-to-day stressors. I believe many chronic mental health struggles improve when care moves beyond quick medication checks toward a deeper understanding. I specialize in working with trauma-based diagnoses, complex PTSD, DID (dissociative identity disorder), borderline personality disorder, personality patterns, chronic suicidality, OCD and intrusive thoughts, FND (functional neurological disorder), chronic illnesses such as POTS, EDS, and MCAS, healthcare trauma, and PANDAS/PANS-related concerns. I also work with children and adolescents experiencing behavioral symptoms such as school refusal, emotional outbursts, and neurodivergent needs. While medication can be part of treatment, I integrate psychotherapy, case management assistance, behavioral strategies, nervous system regulation, and collaborative treatment planning across specialties.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is intentionally thorough and specialized for patients with complex or longstanding concerns. Initial visits are longer and focus on understanding the whole person. We review current symptoms, previous diagnoses, medication history, therapy experiences, trauma history, family dynamics, relationships, medical issues, and any patterns that may have been missed in prior treatment. Treatment plans may include psychotherapy-informed medication management, trauma-focused care, evidence-based supplement recommendations, attachment-based work, ERP-informed treatment for OCD, parent coaching, behavioral support for children, nervous system regulation, sleep support, lifestyle changes, and collaboration with therapists or medical specialists. Follow-up visits are active, engaged, and deeper than a typical medication check. We review progress, symptoms, side effects, and stressors, while also working on coping patterns, relationships, triggers, emotional regulation, and meaningful long-term change. My goal is for patients to feel they finally have a knowledgeable advocate in their corner - someone who truly understands the complexity of their experience and provides specialized, compassionate, and individualized care.
