I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University and have been a Licensed Psychologist for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of providing psychotherapy in various settings, including non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, public school systems, and hospitals. My extensive experience also includes more than 15 years of proactive health-promotion programming, aimed at equipping individuals with the skills and resources to maintain their health and fostering cultural changes that enhance health equity and access. A cornerstone of my work is a trauma-informed approach. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Additionally, as a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I take a holistic view of mental health, considering factors such as nutrition, sleep, movement, and personal meaning in our work together.
