Heather Uncapher, LP

Psychologist
CO
Hello, I'm Heather, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, which I received in 1995. I specialize in providing individual therapy services to adults, focusing on evidence-based strategies to address depression, anxiety, and life stresses. My approach is rooted in positive psychology and cognitive-behavioral therapy, combined with relevant findings from medical research, to help you achieve your optimum level of life satisfaction and quality of life. After earning my Ph.D., I was honored to receive a three-year NIMH Clinical Services Research Fellowship. During this time, I continued my research on depression in the Department of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco. This invaluable experience paved the way for my academic career as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Wake Forest University. In 2001, I made the decision to move to Colorado to start my private practice in the Denver area. Since then, I've been dedicated to helping adults navigate their mental health journeys, offering a supportive and evidence-based approach to therapy. I do not treat couples or individuals under the age of 21, as my focus is on adult therapy. When I'm not working, I love to spend my time skiing, paddleboarding, and enjoying moments with my family. These activities help me stay grounded and bring a sense of balance to my life, which I believe is essential for overall well-being. If you're looking for a therapist who combines extensive training with a compassionate, evidence-based approach, I would be honored to work with you. Let's embark on this journey together towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
