Hi! I’m Heidi. I became a speech-language pathologist because I was drawn to the intersection of science, communication, and human connection. I love that this field allows me to combine evidence-based practice with individualized, meaningful care that helps clients feel more confident and empowered in their everyday lives. I’ve worked in both private practice and school settings, supporting clients across the lifespan, from young children to middle and high school students and individuals in adult transition programs. My clinical experience includes working with autism, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency, and language-based literacy needs. I’m especially passionate about neuroaffirming, strengths-based care that supports communication, self-advocacy, and independence. I value creating therapy experiences that are functional, collaborative, and relevant to each client’s daily routines, interests, and goals. I also prioritize ongoing professional development to continue strengthening my clinical knowledge and staying current with evidence-based practices. My therapy approach is client-centered, neurodiversity-affirming, and highly individualized. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered to build meaningful communication skills that carry over into everyday life.
