Dr. Henry Onyeaka, MD, MPH Dr. Henry Onyeaka is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist and the founder of Iroko Psychiatry. Dr. Onyeaka completed his psychiatry residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, both teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. During residency, he served as Chief Resident in Addiction Psychiatry. He earned his Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where his work focused on population health and expanding access to high-quality behavioral care. Dr. Onyeaka currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and works part-time as a Staff Psychiatrist at McLean Hospital. He has extensive experience treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions and offers: - ADHD evaluations and treatment - Anxiety disorders - Depression - Mood disorders (including bipolar disorder) - Substance use and addiction treatment Dr. Onyeaka has particular expertise in reproductive psychiatry, supporting women who are planning pregnancy, currently pregnant, or in the postpartum period. He also works closely with students and young professionals, addressing academic stress, burnout, attention difficulties, and transitions during high-demand periods of life. With clinical experience across diverse healthcare systems, including early medical practice in Ghana and Nigeria, Dr. Onyeaka integrates evidence-based psychiatry with cultural awareness, empathy, and measurement-driven care. Known to many patients as “Dr. O,” he is committed to delivering care that is both clinically rigorous and deeply human, with a focus on collaboration, clarity, and real-world results.
