Hi! I'm Hilary, and I've been a Registered Dietitian since 2010. I went back to school to become a dietitian as a single mom, after seeing firsthand that changing one's nutrition can literally change one's health; in so many ways, we really are what we eat! I have worked in most facets of clinical nutrition since that time, most recently with a primarily geriatric, homebound population as the Registered Dietitian on a multi-disciplinary, home-health, primary medical care team in rural New Mexico. I definitely believe in patient-centric, patient-focused care; it's your goals which we will work on together, not my goals for you! I am a strong advocate for holistic care, with ongoing collaboration with all providers across the continuum of health care. I bring kindness, non-judgement, and empathy to my sessions (and to my life outside of work as well). My ultimate goal is to be of service to others; being a dietitian has helped me to reach that goal over these many years! I'd love to get to know you as a whole person, not just in the nutritional realm, so that I can understand what goals are important and meaningful to you and why. To that end, during our first session, I will ask many "getting to know you" questions about your nutritional and health history as well as to try to understand what motivates you and inspires you as an individual.
