As a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I treat children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I specialize in conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, mood dysregulation, PMDD, trauma-related concerns, and autism spectrum disorders.
During our first appointment, we’ll take time to explore your concerns, your personal history, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. Together, we’ll develop a plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, and coordination with other members of your care team when needed.
Clients often describe me as warm, easy to talk to, and genuinely invested in their success. I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. What is your typical process for working with clients?
I believe that effective mental health care starts with truly understanding the whole person—not just their diagnosis or symptoms. My approach combines comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy to create a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
During our first appointment, we’ll spend time discussing your current concerns, symptoms, medical history, mental health history, family background, lifestyle, and goals for treatment. I take a thorough approach because many symptoms can have multiple causes, and I want to make sure we’re addressing the root of the problem rather than simply treating the surface symptoms.
Once we have a clear understanding of what’s going on, we’ll work together to develop a personalized treatment plan. This may include medication management, coping strategies, lifestyle recommendations, supportive therapy, school or workplace accommodations, and coordination with therapists, primary care providers, or other specialists when appropriate.
Follow-up appointments are focused on monitoring progress, evaluating how treatments are working, addressing any side effects or concerns, and making adjustments as needed. While I do prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, I also incorporate supportive therapy into visits. I believe medication works best when paired with practical tools, education, emotional support, and strategies that help you succeed in everyday life.
