About Dr. Himanshi Chopra

Himanshi Chopra, MD, is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician who sees patients 10 years of age and older. She holds special interest in preventative medicine, dermatology, women’s health, and outpatient procedures. She is trained in Nexplanon and IUD insertions, Botox ® for migraine injections, and neurotoxin and filler cosmetic injections. She went on to earn her medical degree from International Medical University in St. Lucia. She completed and excelled in her Family Medicine Residency at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Michigan, where she was the Chief Resident of her program. During her Residency, Dr. Chopra was very active with the community, something she dedicates to the teachings of her father. She spearheaded many quality improvement projects, research projects, and patient education projects. As a result, Dr. Chopra was awarded the prestigious Graduate Medical Education Excellence Award by AAFP (American Academy of Family Physicians) in 2021. This award recognized her as one of the top 12 resident physicians in the country. She attributes this award to her educators and patients without whom she would not be able to apply her passion. Dr. Chopra is dedicated to caring for, educating, and comforting her patients. She likes to collaborate with her patients and encourages them to be an active participant in their health. Her vision is to help her patients live their healthiest life. Atlanta is home to Dr. Chopra and she is delighted to be back. She enjoys her private time with her husband, family and friends. She grew up as a competitive swimmer, rower, and fencer. Her interests include food, fitness, and furry animals.
