What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a calm, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported from our very first visit. My style is collaborative and thoughtful, grounded in evidence-based psychiatric care while remaining deeply attentive to your individual experiences, values, and goals. When we work together, I take time to understand not only your symptoms, but also the broader context of your life—your stressors, strengths, relationships, and aspirations. I approach diagnosis with care and clarity, using it as a guide for treatment rather than a label. Sessions are conversational and supportive, allowing room for reflection, questions, and shared decision-making. I provide both medication management and therapeutic support, often integrating brief talk therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies into our visits. If medication is part of your care, I emphasize transparency, thoughtful prescribing, and ongoing evaluation to ensure treatment aligns with your needs and comfort. Above all, I believe healing happens through a trusting partnership. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move forward with greater clarity and emotional well-being—at a pace that feels right for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and centered on understanding you as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms. I believe meaningful psychiatric care begins with listening. During our initial sessions, I take time to learn about your current concerns, personal history, medical background, and the broader context of your life. This includes exploring emotional patterns, stressors, relationships, strengths, and goals. My diagnostic process is careful and evidence-based, and I view diagnoses as tools to guide treatment rather than labels that define you. A typical session is conversational and reflective. I ask questions, but I also create space for you to share what feels most important. I practice supportive and insight-oriented therapy alongside medication management, helping you better understand your experiences while developing practical strategies for emotional regulation, resilience, and growth. When medication is part of treatment, decisions are made collaboratively, with attention to both benefits and potential risks. I value transparency and humility in the therapeutic relationship. I welcome questions, feedback, and open dialogue, and I see our work together as a partnership. My goal is to support you in feeling understood, empowered, and equipped to move toward improved mental well-being at a pace that feels right for you.
