About Holly Robson

After practicing in corporate medicine for over a decade, Holly realized that patient comfort and preference often came as an afterthought. She decided to start HRTherapy as an alternative to big-box healthcare, focusing on a unique patient-provider relationship to build a customized health plan that suits you. Holly graduated as an RN in 2012 from Lakeview College of Nursing and spent a decade in a variety of healthcare settings, including surgical recovery, sexual and reproductive health, cardiac cath lab, travel nursing, and critical care. Her vast experience in different settings allows for a unique perspective on the nursing model of healthcare. After attending graduate school at the University of Colorado, Denver, where she earned a master's degree as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, she returned to her roots in Illinois. There, she worked as an NP for a large corporation, honing the skills needed to set out and practice on her own. In 2023, she founded HRTherapy. When not seeing clients, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Stevie Nicks. She is an avid traveler, SCUBA diver, and hiker. You can find her anywhere from New York taking in a Broadway show, to New Mexico relaxing in beautiful hot springs, to spending time with family in Chicago.

I have been on the pill since I was a teenager. I have always had some things that I didn't like about it, but the most I ever got from other providers was either "yes that is a side affect" or "let us know if you stop taking it". In over 15 years of being on the pill I have never felt heard. I found Holly through a recommendation from a friend and for the first time I felt like my expeirence with the pill mattered. Our visit was 30 minutes to just talk and for her to actually LISTEN. She got to know me first and then went into what my issues were, what was important, and then we made a plan together. Holly was amazing and I actually like taking my birth control now.
