In 1997, Dr. Sidiq completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. From 1997 to 2005, he cared for patients at Brownsville Community Health Center in Brownsville, Texas as a primary care physician and served as adult section chief. During that time, he also worked at Valley Regional Medical Center where he served as chief of medicine. While there, he was a member of the Credentials and Ethics Committee at Valley Regional Medical Center and Peer Review Committee at Brownsville Community Health Center. After eight years of practicing Internal Medicine in Brownsville, Dr. Sidiq came to Houston in 2005 to continue his medical training a with a Hepatology fellowship at St. Luke’s Center for Liver Disease. From 2006 to 2009, he held a Gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.
