I was running late, but I tried calling on the way there and before starting my commute, but no one answered. When I got there at 4:25 the office was closed so i never got to see the doctor.

The appt. was very simple utilizing the Zocdoc app for a holiday weekend (Labor Day). I was able to see Dr. Wang on a Sunday. His office is located in Queens' version of China town. It was easy to get there via Uber since I live out of state.

The doctor was fine. It was the front office staff that was the problem. Prior to my appt, I called the office and insurance company, to make sure the provider was in network, which I was told he was. When I arrived to the office, the front office staff asked about my insurance eligibility. I told them the provider eligibility phone number was on my insurance card and that they would have to call to confirm. But the office staff insisted I call to get the information for them. I already confirmed the doctor was in network, it’s not my job to provide my insurance eligibility, as that’s something all offices do, from my experience. Instead the 2 front office staff just sat there, talking, and laughing amongst each themselves. I spent 20 minutes on hold with my insurance company gathering the information for them (which they could have easily done). Again, the doctor was fine. But the lack of professionalism and incivility from the front office gives them 0 stars.

Why we dont have more doctores like Dr Wang?

I found this doctor’s office via ZocDoc and I’m so taken back at the high ratings. It’s unfortunate that I have to do this, but the office was unsanitary and I had to leave because I was so uncomfortable.
The consult with the doctor was neutral, even though when he did the check up, he did not check the areas where I addressed pain. The garbage in the room was overflowing, which scared me. I work in healthcare and know people can carry life-altering diseases, and I was very put off at gloves/tissues/other disposables teetering out of the full bin.
The nurse who would take my blood pressure had multiple wounds on her fingers that were not covered in a glove. The blood pressure machine wire had someone else’s blood stain on it and that’s when I knew I had to leave. There were other issues, but I’d rather only address why I had to leave.

I needed labs, booster shots and a yearly physical he did it all. It was excellent service. Unlike past doctors... when I asked for copies of my labs and records he immediately gave it to me there was no waiting period Or any other kind of argument. Everything was quick, easy and painless. 10/10 would recommend
