About Dr. Ian Harnik
After graduating from Tufts University, Dr. Harnik attended NYU School of Medicine, completing his medical degree in 2004. He went on to train as an intern and resident in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Harnik then continued with fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Harnik is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has published several peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Harnik is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and serves on staff as an attending physician in the division of gastroenterology of Montefiore Medical Center. He continues to be an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Dr. Harnik was recently elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). Fellowship is a mark or distinction and is only awarded to special group of doctors who are dedicated to continuing education in medical practice, teaching, or research. It recognizes ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine.
