About Dr. Ian Humphreys
Ian Humphreys, D.O., is a surgeon at the UW Head and Neck Surgery Center and a UW assistant professor of Otolaryngology, as well as a member of the UW Division of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery.
Dr. Humphreys is expert in treating chronic inflammatory diseases of the nose and sinuses, smell disorders, nosebleeds, nasal breathing issues, and sinonasal tumors. He believes it is truly an honor and gift to partner with patients on their journey of health.
Dr. Humphreys earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University. He completed his internship and residency in Otolaryngology at Michigan State University, Detroit Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. He is interested in clinical outcomes and quality of life in chronic sinus disease, as well as the development of novel therapeutic treatment options. Currently, he is collaborating with colleagues at Stanford on several research studies.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Humphreys is excited to call Washington his new home. He has a passion for humanitarian medical care and has served in locations such as the American Southwest, Nigeria, and Cambodia. He is married and enjoys travel, hiking, mountaineering, and boating.
