Getting to know Ibukunoluwa Ayanleye

Throughout my career, working in the care of others, my passion and drive to provide needed care and interventions for individuals—not only in times of crisis but also to enable the maintenance of stability and an acceptable state of emotional, psychological, and mental well-being—has been a motivator in all I do and the care I provide. This is especially important when considering that an individual’s emotional, psychological, and mental state profoundly affects their overall well-being and sense of wholeness. I strive and am determined to contribute to the care of clients by offering holistic, person-centered care with excellent services and resources that support interventions aimed at improving quality of life. My educational background, including a Bachelor’s degree from Coppin State University and a Master’s in Nursing from Walden University, has further equipped me to deliver this level of compassionate and comprehensive care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients should know that since my approach is holistic and person centered, the care they receive is specific to the individual. Working in different environments and settings that promote holistic care, providing the necessary interventions as well as witnessing the benefits of providing appropriate, person centered mental health services has influenced the drive for my goal and mission for aiming at a holistic and overall state of well-being for individuals and the community with regards to mental health.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process involves building a rapport with clients using talk therapy in developing a professional relationship that makes the client comfortable enough to express himself/herself to attain information such as symptoms, experiences, history, background and other objective and subjective data relevant for diagnosing, development of treatment plans, referrals as appropriate and sustained treatment/maintenance of care.
