“My appointment was in the late evening hours yet the receptionist was very sweet& welcoming. The office was neat, clean & sanitary. I was given privacy to remove socks and necessary undergarments and the doctor was open to at questions I had and answered them with patience and compassion. He was also very knowledgeable and I was very satisfied by my experience.”

Ilya Shnitser, DPM is a podiatrist in Brooklyn, NY who has always believed that people should have access to quality and compassionate healthcare no matter their background. Having worked in a large city hospital setting alongside a variety of high-risk patients, Dr. Shnitser is especially talented at identifying “at risk” patients and getting them set on a reasonable and beneficial treatment plan.
Dr. Shnitser completed his doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2013. Following his education, he completed a 3-year foot and ankle surgical residency program at Coney Island Hospital Center in Brooklyn, serving as chief resident in his senior year. Dr. Shnitser offers both conservative and surgical treatment options for variety of foot and ankle pathologies. Dr.Ilya Shnitser was professional. He listened to my description of pain and concerns. He explained what I needed to do to relieve pain and made several recommendations to prevent further injury clearly. He has office hours on Saturday which is great!

My daughter, who has severe anxiety and selective mutism, had a bad ingrown toenail and a bunch of calluses causing her pain. The doctor was fantastic! Very gentle and very patient, explaining everything as he went along and checking if she was ok. He really went out of his way to ease her anxiety and I’m sure her foot will feel a lot better. I would recommend him to anyone.

Very nice doctor. My daughter was in pain. She had 2 ingrown toenails and the doctor removed both of them. He advised us what to do after and was patient when we asked questions (sometimes the same questions.) I am glad I found this doctor and I'll definitely go back. The staff was professional and polite, too. Everything moved fast. There were no unnecessary delays.

This is my first visit and it was a great experience. I parked outside, neighborhood is safe, the office is easy to get no stairs or elevator, excellent hospitality and very professional services. High technology, X-ray tools at the same office and electric payments available. Walked out with next appointment and a referral ready for my next visit.

Dr ilya was a great listener, thourough exam. X-rays done and read. He gave me options of how we could continue. Meet at the hospital in the am for debridment or increase the antibiotics. I decided the hospital was the fastest way to the end point. Doctor Ilya agreed and we set a time.

Dr. Shnitser was so nice! I went for an ingrown toenail that was really hurting me, and he knew exactly what to do. His bedside manner is impeccable. When I started crying because I was scared of the needle and the procedure, he was understanding, kind, and tried to distract me. It's a few days later and my toe is feeling much better. I would 100% recommend him if you ever need a podiatrist.
