Great experience as a new patient and as someone who was hesitant to take steps towards getting help

Great staff, great team, great doctors.
She was a bad listener and asked me questions I had already answered. She also did not seem very experienced as she just went through a laundry list of questions that I actually had answered in the LONG intake forms I was made to fill out prior to my appointment. I already am on medication and she insisted I get on additional drugs without me saying anything being wrong with my current regimen. She also referred me to a psychologist that does not take insurance.
Ilyssa was really kind and eager to help find the right treatment plan. She has been quick to respond to insurance authorization requests and is very supportive. I would recommend her to anyone!

It was a very welcoming space and I was really made to feel comfortable in the environment while she did the initial evaluation. The only issue I had was with, the diagnosis. I didn't feel the diagnosis matched well with my symptoms and there was a generalization made that "50% of my patients that come in thinking they have ADHD preform really well on the mood-stabilizers". Then another comment was said that she had a strong suspicion that I have an unspecified mood disorder and id do really well with a mod stabilizer. I asked specifically what was her reasoning and there were no clear and direct information that was presented with me felt generic and that it really didn't match my case specifically based off of what I shared or her observations. I got a second opinion by a Psychiatrist because I felt I wasn't properly diagnosed and I was able to get clear specific details about my diagnosis and a clear action plan. I will not go again. Very sweet person though.
