My name is Immaculata Emesue, and I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with many years of experience in the treatment and management of various psychiatric illnesses. I earned my Master's in Nursing from Rutgers University. My goal is to help my clients achieve optimal serenity and improve their overall quality of life. Our services include medication management and psychotherapy for coping with daily stress and mental illness.
I started my career as an adult geriatric nurse practitioner but eventually found myself working in a mental health setting alongside a part-time job in a primary care clinic. Surprisingly, I enjoyed my psychiatric work more than primary care. Consequently, I pursued certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Now, I can honestly say that it's a calling more than a career. I have worked in various behavioral and medical settings, ranging from skilled nursing facilities to outpatient clinics. I also have many years of experience working in substance abuse detox and rehabilitation settings. With my extensive background in medical, mental health, and addiction care, I am able to manage my clients holistically, leading to positive treatment outcomes and great patient satisfaction.

Immaculata failed to explain my diagnosis and had me Google it myself. She asked if I wanted to manage my own meds when I inquired about different medication options. Another incident she failed to acknowledge being 10 minutes late to our session. She gave me the wrong dose of medication for 3 weeks and didn't realize it until I told her. When I was running low on my prescription I had to remind her several times to refill. She didn't advocate for me as her patient and I had to convince her of my symptoms. She made me feel gaslit, and worsened my mental health. I am trarumatized by this experrience. She was slow with paperwork and responses. I hope no one else experience this from any mental health care provider.

I appreciate her understanding me and my past. I like that she diagnosed me with explaining disorders that I am not, with what I am in comparison. There was no sugar coating anything. It was real and non judge mental at all. I would definitely continue seeing g her for treatment and refer her to anyone I know.

I'm more than satisfied with everything regarding her time listening, her willingness to give me a phone number other than the office so in any event of a pressing concern I can speak or text her immediately always with a quick response, and her knowledge of the CORRECT medications I find necessary. couldn't ask for a better provider. I was so happy to have found this doctor, who actually listened and did not push the depression meds just because, but actually took the time to listen to my problems and was able to diagnose me correctly and based on what I am feeling, not just to collect and get you out! Very happy and I will continue to see her.

I must say NP was calling out of concern because I missed my initial appointment. she thank the Lord, accommodated me the same day(1/19/2022). Even better than that, she got me an earlier appointment yesterday and was extremely compassionate to my long psychiatric history, mainly dealing with practioners who changed my useful medicine to meds with awful side effects. I bluntly asked her if I could continue on the meds that helped me the most and allowed me to be a productive citizen and handle my business. I appreciate so much her trust In me and I wish I was able to speak to her every week! can't say good enough things about my experience
