Getting to know Dr. Prajnawati Wibowo

I'm Ina Wibowo, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing telehealth psychiatric care across Texas, New York, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, and Washington. I treat teens 13+, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD (with non-stimulant medication management), trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, perinatal mental health, sleep disorders, OCD, grief, and major life transitions. My approach is calm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based therapy techniques — cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing — with thoughtful, conservative medication management when it's clinically appropriate. Care should feel like a conversation, not a script: we move at a pace that feels safe and build a plan that fits your real life. First visits are 45-minute comprehensive evaluations. Follow-ups focus on symptom progress and medication adjustments. Evening appointments available. Most insurance accepted; superbills provided for out-of-network reimbursement.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first visit is a 45-minute conversation, not a checklist. I'll ask about your history, what's working, and what isn't — then we build a plan together. Medication is one tool, not the only one. I lean on CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing alongside thoughtful, conservative prescribing. I don't prescribe stimulants, and I'll tell you early if I think another provider is a better fit. Evenings available; most insurance accepted.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I'm dual-certified as an adult-gerontology and psychiatric NP, with a doctorate in nursing practice — which means I look at mental health alongside whole-body health (sleep, hormones, medication interactions, chronic conditions). My approach is calm, evidence-based, and honest. I integrate CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing with conservative prescribing — and I treat every plan as a draft we revise together. The first 90 days do the heavy lifting. Weeks 1–4: full evaluation, plan, and (if needed) starting or adjusting medication at a low dose. Weeks 4–8: follow-ups every 2 weeks to track sleep, mood, side effects, and what's improving. Weeks 8–12: we evaluate what's working, refine the plan, and decide whether to add therapy techniques or a referral. After that, most clients shift to monthly or quarterly check-ins.
