Getting to know Dr. Prajnawati Wibowo

"You don't have to do it alone. It's okay to ask for help and support when needed. I want to create a transparent and honest environment. I promise always to be truthful, respectful, understanding, and fair when working with you. I provide personalized one-on-one sessions to help individuals achieve their mental health goals. I empower clients to make positive changes in their lives by empowering them. I work with individuals to address a wide range of mental health concerns, promote self-discovery, and cultivate resilience. I DO NOT PRESCRIBE stimulant ADHD medications (Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin). Prescriptions for benzodiazepines are provided in Texas during in-office visits on a case-by-case basis after conducting an individual psychiatric assessment. I do not prescribe them during video visits for new patients. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The University of Texas at Arlington."

What should a new client know about working with you?

I DO NOT PRESCRIBE STIMULANT ADHD MEDICATION (ADDERALL/VYVANSE/RITALIN ETC). Prescriptions for Benzodiazepine are provided in Texas during IN-OFFICE visits on a case-by-case basis after conducting an individual psychiatric assessment. I do not prescribe them during video visits for new patients. I founded Hearts of Health, a practice that offers comprehensive mental health care services to the community. Our practice provides medication management and/or psychotherapy to help individuals achieve and maintain optimal overall health and well-being. I am deeply committed to your mental health, believing it to be just as important as physical health. I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where you can seek help with your mental health concerns. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life. I hold a Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Texas and am dual board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC). Additionally, I completed a certificate program in Gerontology Healthcare. With years of experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. I strongly believe in the benefits of psychotherapy. It's a powerful tool that helps individuals understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It's like having a trusted guide who helps you navigate through your thoughts and emotions, providing a safe space to explore underlying issues and patterns. Psychotherapy encourages self-reflection and personal growth, empowers individuals to explore their values, beliefs, and life goals, and gain insight into their experiences. It helps people make positive changes and develop healthier coping mechanisms. In addition, psychotherapy improves communication, resolves conflicts, and promotes emotional intimacy in interpersonal relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

1. Initial Assessment and Diagnosis: Detailed interview, mental status examination, and sometimes physical examination to understand the client’s current issues and medical history. 2. Treatment Plan: Treatment plan may include medication management and/or psychotherapy 3. Medication Management: If medications are prescribed, I will manage and adjust them as needed, monitoring my client's progress and side effects 4. Psychotherapy: I encourage and provide psychotherapy to help my clients understand and manage their conditions 5. Collaborative Care: I provide holistic care and work together with my clients in a safe environment. I encourage my clients to actively participate in the decision-making process regarding the treatment plan. I emphasizes accountability to achieve the best possible outcomes. 6. Ongoing Care: Regular follow-ups are scheduled to assess my client's progress and make any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan
