What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting psychiatric care can feel intimidating, but my goal is to make your first step as seamless, welcoming, and comfortable as possible. Here is what you can expect when we partner together at CittaCare Psychiatry: The Virtual Boarding Process: Because I see patients through the Headway Telehealth Platform, you will receive a welcome link shortly after booking your Zocdoc appointment. This link will allow you to securely enter your insurance details, complete your clinical intake paperwork, and access our private, HIPAA-compliant video room. Please complete these steps prior to our first visit so we can maximize our time together. Your First Appointment (Initial Evaluation): Our first session is a comprehensive, 60-minute evaluation. This is a collaborative conversation, not an interrogation. I will take the time to truly listen to your history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. We will look at the whole picture—body and mind—to ensure we are addressing the root causes of what you are experiencing. Collaborative Treatment Planning: I do not believe in one-size-fits-all medicine. At the end of our first visit, we will co-create a personalized treatment plan. Whether that includes evidence-based medication management, brief supportive therapy, lifestyle adjustments, or a combination of approaches, you will always have the final say and an active voice in your care. Follow-Up Care: Mental health is a journey. In follow-up sessions, we will monitor how you are feeling, manage any medications, evaluate progress, and adjust our strategy as you heal and grow. Absolute Convenience & Privacy: With flexible evening and weekend hours, you can attend your sessions from the comfort of your living room, your office, or any private space. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a smartphone, tablet, or computer. I am committed to providing a judgment-free, safe space where you feel genuinely heard, validated, and supported. I look forward to meet you!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At CittaCare Psychiatry, my process is designed to be structured yet deeply personalized. Mental health care is not a quick fix; it is a collaborative journey. Here is exactly how we will work together from your very first click to your ongoing wellness: Step 1: Seamless Onboarding Once you select an appointment time on Zocdoc, you will receive an invitation to the Headway Telehealth Platform. Through this secure portal, you will complete your digital intake forms, input your insurance details, and receive the private video link for our sessions. Completing this ahead of time ensures our first appointment is entirely focused on you. Step 2: The Initial Evaluation (60 Minutes) Our first session is a comprehensive, deep dive into your well-being. Together, we will discuss your current challenges—whether it is anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, or perinatal concerns. We will also explore your psychiatric history, physical health, lifestyle, and what you hope to achieve. My goal is to understand the complete picture of who you are, in a warm, judgment-free space. Step 3: Creating Your Tailored Treatment Plan At the conclusion of our first evaluation, we will design a customized roadmap. As a PMHNP-BC, I utilize an evidence-based approach that may include precise medication management, brief supportive therapy, and practical lifestyle modifications. We discuss the benefits, risks, and alternatives of every option so that you can make an informed, confident decision about your care. Step 4: Routine Follow-Up & Optimization (30 Minutes) Healing takes time and fine-tuning. We will meet for regular follow-up appointments to track your progress, monitor any medication efficacy or side effects, and provide ongoing therapeutic support. In the beginning, these may be more frequent (every 2 to 4 weeks). Once you feel stable and like yourself again, we can transition to spaced-out maintenance visits. Throughout this entire process, you are the driver, and I am your guide.
